Referral Terms & Conditions
-
Any user based in India having a valid email id and Indian resident bank account is eligible to be an 'Advocate' in the referral programme.
-
An Advocate' can avail the benefits of the referral programme by inviting other potential users to the programme.
-
The Advocate must be an existing enrolled student or previously enrolled participant for any programme that was offered by Emeritus. An Advocate, who is a current lead, will also be eligible to refer friends if the Advocate also enrols within the current quarter or immediately following quarter. The Advocate will receive the cashback only after enrolling. All alumni/ past customers are eligible for cashbacks if other criteria are met).
-
The referred person (known as 'Friend') can be an existing lead in our CRM or a fresh lead. In case the Friend is an existing lead, this lead should have not entered our CRM in the last 3 months.
-
The Advocate receives a cashback as referral bonus. It is based on the bonus amount that shows on the Landing Page of the programme that the friend has enrolled into, displayed at the time of inviting the friend.
-
The Friend receives discounts on the programme fee, spread across the fee instalments.
-
A Friend cannot combine coupons received from other promotions with the referral coupon received by him/her. However, any price cuts on the base fee will continue to apply and coupons can be applied on top of that.
-
The referrals scheme is valid from the first date of acceptance of applications for the respective programme to the last date of acceptance of application for the same programme. No further referrals would be accepted post the last date of application.
-
The Friend should make timely payments of the course fee. The Friend will receive the benefits of the referral programme spread across the booking amount and remaining instalments. Friends should not drop-out, defer or ask for refund (except in programmes from IITs and XLRI where payments are directly made to the Institute. See point 19 for this scenario).
-
For the Advocate, the referral bonus cashback process would be initiated at the earlier of 6 months or when full payment is received by Emeritus from the Friend. The Advocate would have to submit their full name, telephone number and the bank account details to which the referral bonus would need to be credited. Emeritus will take 45-60 days to take approvals and process the cashback.
-
Cashbacks will be credited only to the bank account held in the name of the Advocate.
-
Any payment above INR 30,000 to the Advocate may attract TDS, and therefore you may need to submit your PAN details as well.
-
Please ensure your bank account details are filled out correctly. Emeritus will not be responsible if the referral amount is transferred to the wrong account because of incorrect information being filled by the referrer.
-
By submitting the referral details, you provide us the consent to contact you or your referral via email, WhatsApp or phone as the case may be.
-
If a Friend is referred by multiple Advocates, then the Advocate who referred this friend first will receive the benefit.
-
The maximum number of Friends that can be referred by one Advocate is capped at 10.
-
This referral programme is not applicable for corporate nominations.
-
In the event of any dispute arising out of the candidature/eligibility of the referred candidate the decision of Emeritus in consultation with the Institute/School would be final. Emeritus reserves the right to terminate this referral scheme at any point in time without prior notice. For clarity, the coupon discounts and referral cashbacks are calculated net of GST.
-
For programmes from IITs and XLRI where fees is directly paid to the Institute (delivering the programme), the Friend will not receive coupons to discount the programme. The Friend will instead receive a cashback after completing the programme related payments or 6 months from start of programme (whichever is earlier).
